Meet the Pastor

Meet the Pastor

Robin Roman is a licensed local pastor who began her journey to the pastorate as a Christ service minister, a laity position for people who feel God is calling them to participate more fully in the United Methodist Church. She was born in Upstate New York and grew up in various locations around the Lehigh Valley. Due to the proximity of the locations she and her family moved to, Roman was able to remain a member at the church she’d attended since the age of one.  The congregation watched her grow physically and spiritually.

Transitioning to a smaller church, she worried about how she would fit in.  However, Salem United Methodist Church has since stolen her heart and become her home church.

I pray that God uses me in a way that will encourage and put a hunger in their heart to know God more intimately.  It doesn’t matter where we are in our walk, there’s always more that we can desire through God.

Roman is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior and applied psychology at Albright University.  She has previously received a bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University in Music Therapy.  She feels that God has always spoken to her through music. She says praise songs are some of the most moving songs she has ever heard.  If she had to pick an all time favorite it would be “I love you Lord.”  She loves leading worship and singing with a group, especially with her guitar.

Aside from participating in the praise and worship team, her favorite part of being a quarter-time pastor at Salem is being with the congregation and getting to know their souls.  Roman aims to make God come alive in the church because her passion is to speak Christ and to live Christ.

For God did not send his Son into the world to         condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
